The Edgar chair is based on the design of Danish designer Børge Mogensen’s Spanish chair — one of Edgar Weylandts’ favourite chair designs. A Scandinavian interpretation of furniture born from ancient Islamic culture, Mogensen drew inspiration from a trip to Spain in 1958, modernising traditional shapes while retaining important characteristics like wide armrests. Crafted from genuine leather and solid oak, the Edgar features functional straps that allow the back to be tightened as the leather expands, which means that you can sit comfortably every single time.
